  • Woman's Ring Grafts to Her Body

Good God this is disgusting. A woman’s skin grew right over her wedding ring. The full doctor’s report: Woman’s flesh grows over wedding ring.

  • 2004 Olympics Favorite Moments

(from Wednesday) Yep, I think he should give the medal back. Didn’t you seem him fall flat on his ass? Probably that skull that’s too big for his facial features. And is it just me or does he talk like a little kid. Granted, he could kick my ass on the pommel horse anyday. My […]

  • Eraserhead

Also rented Eraserhead – David Lynch’s first feature film. I had never seen – though read a lot about it. It like Beckett – I get and appreciate the idea and concept behind the whole post-apocalypse/wasteland/nihilist perspective but just found it boring. The puppetry was pretty amazing and I did giggle noticing the floors in […]

  • Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)

Watched Invasion of the Body Snatchers last night. THe original black and white version. It really is a one-trick plot. I may rent the remake from the 70s. There is something about that ending of the remake with Donald Sutherland pointing at you and letting out this combined moo/scream that is really unnerving.

Mr. Gentility tears into the Republicans: Here in 2004, George W. Bush is running for reelection on a platform of tragedythe single greatest failure of national defense in our history, the attacks of 9/11 in which 19 men with box cutters put this nation into a tailspin, a failure the details of which the White […]

  • Epilogue

This was left on my welcome mat this afternoon. I guess I hit a nerve. Read the full letter.

  • Termination

Typed up a letter of termination. Went to Citibank to get my cashier’s checks for the new place. Went to the new place’s management company’s office and signed the lease and paid for the first month. Taxi’ed to the old idiot management company’s office. Walked in, announced termination and watched them deal with it. They […]

  • Awaiting Approval

Hopefully found another apartment today. Not ideal. But nice location (Barry & Broadway) and quiet. Credit check pending. Cats allowed. Carpeted floors. Futher bulletins as events warrant.
