McCain Campaign Finance Chair Fred Malek Killed, Skinned, Cooked a Dog and Counted Jews for Nixon

Grab the BBQ:

In 1959: One of the men arrested in the incident, in which a dog was killed, skinned, gutted and barbecued on a spit, was Frederick V. Malek, 22, of Berwyn, Ill.

Plus this guy was a Jew-counter for Nixon:

Nixon summoned the White House personnel chief, Fred Malek, to his office to discuss a “Jewish cabal” in the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The “cabal,” Nixon said, was tilting economic figures to make his Administration look bad. How many Jews were there in the bureau? he wanted to know. Malek reported back on the number, and told the President that the bureau’s methods of weighing statistics were normal procedure that had been in use for years.

Now:

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) today announced that fund-raiser Fred Malek had joined his team as a national finance co-chair.

    Charming!

The Canadian McCain’s (not relatives as far as I know) are famous for their French Fries — maybe they’d go well with the “hot dog”?

Maybe Fred has reformed. People do change. Some, for the better.

Maybe now he’ll just BBQ democrats!
