Kent State Shootings: Tape ‘reveals order’ to shoot Vietnam protesters

Back from the past:

The command, as Alan Canfora heard it on a 37-year-old audio recording recently discovered in a government archive, appeared to leave no room for doubt. “Right here. Get set. Point. Fire.” Then came 13 seconds of gunfire.

“There has been a 37-year cover-up at Kent State. The commanding officers have long denied there was a verbal command to fire. They put the blame on the triggermen,” Mr Canfora told the Guardian.
