Where the Sun Don’t Shine

All the fans are off. Autumn is here. The sun hasn’t shone (shined?) in 4-5 days and I think it is making me a bit loopy.

Alarm off at 7 yesterday but didn’t get out of bed until 9. Ron was up all night (being seduced by Susan Lucci’s Youthful Essence infomercial) and had gone to the gym super early. We had breakfast. Came back here, he slept and I worked for four hours. Late late lunch. Then we slept another 2 hours. Then he left and I worked until about 1 – having gotten sucked into the Loose Change 9/11 movie.

I think kitty wants to change food. He paws my face every morning for at least 20 minutes. I cover myself in the duvet and he stomps all over me and paws me through the covers forever. I think he’s nuts. I know you think I’m exagerrating but he is really – literally – I’m for serial – paws my face relentlessly and that eventually turns into nipping at my hands. I think he’s crazy.

The Daily Show and the Colbert Report were complete masterpieces last night. If you can, catch Jon Stewart’s hayseed plea to Bush or their remix of the President’s 9/11 speech with celebrity translator Little Richard (from that insurance commercial: ‘Help me! Mashed potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce! Woooohooo!’). These will probably be on YouTube or Crooks and Liars later on today. I almost horked up a Triscuit I was laughing so hard. And Colbert takes improvisation to new heights every night. He is really a master comedian. And he has the same intellectual edge I used to enjoy in Frasier when it first came out.

Doing a WordPress call today with Sherman that I think will be fun. Plus call #3 of my keywords class. I think I’m doing about a 7.2 out of 10 with the class – it is a pilot run of the content but others tell me they hear from participants that it is an absolutely awesome class. I sometimes think my standards are too high. I often feel like I am responsible for the results of other people and I know I have to cut that out. It’s like when I’d have parties, I want to make sure everyone is having a good time.

No, your cat is NOT crazy. I just laughed when I read what you wrote because I get the same from Tasha, the little woman I share my home with. Pawing, nipping at exposed flesh, its all in their little bag of tricks. What if you were a cat, and you had to get this big lug of human flesh out of bed in the morning to put out some fresh food, or let him/her outside? If I’m not quick enough to respond, Tasha will even resort to grabbing a drawer handle on my dresser in her mouth, then lift it up and let it drop to make a clacking noise, just like we would do with a knocker on someone’s door. Way too smart sometimes these little creatures are.

Christ…You bore me so much. What is the point of your useless dribble?

Simply to annoy you. If it is so boring go read something else.

    And it isn’t dribble.

    It’s drivel.

He’s not nuts. It’s a kitty thing. He either wants to you to get up and feed him, or pet him . . .
