This is going to be real fun. Congress critters up for re-election in the fall are not going to dare allow this to be used against them. Bush says he’ll veto. If they over-ride his veto this will be totally awesome.
Frankly I don’t see the huge huge huge concern over this – there’s a lot of racism overlaying this whole situation. But, I don’t know if the staff of the ports are citizens or what. The previous company was from the UK before they got bought. I do think it is a really really stuid decision in this political climate.
Either the Arab world will think we’re all total bigots for not letting this go through or total idiots for allowing it.
And keep in mind: BUSH HAS NEVER VETOED ANYTHING BEFORE.
