Ron called at 4:40pm last night.
You have to get to PetSmart right now! There’s kitties and they’re up for adoption!
So I got someone to take the last 10 minutes of my tech support shift and went over there – they were pretty cute.
Today we walked to the Anti-Cruelty Shelter downtown.
The first rule of walking into an animal shelter is do not hold an animal you do not expect to take home immediately. We of course violated this rule. Ron and I each held a kitten from a litter of four tomkitties. So tiny. So cute. They purred and cuddled us. I was hooked! I managed to forego adoption this time. We also looked at all the dogs as well. I was pleased to hear the usual tour of duty at the shelter for an animal is four days. Plus, it’s only $55 for neutering/spaying and to get them updated to the latest Kitty Service Pack.
I left sans kitties. This time.
