Two Poles, One Knight

Sir David Attenborough is on the badass list:

At the age of 83 and with two dodgy knees, Sir David endured blizzards and narrowly avoided calamity on cracking ice to reach the North Pole. Sir David reached the North Pole only six weeks after a gruelling trip to the South Pole, a location he had reached once before, 17 years ago. He grew up with Captain Scott, the Antarctic explorer, “as a hero”.
