Serendipitousness

One of my friends works for a company that has had tons of layoffs – they’ve
laid off at least half their staff since the new year and he got an IM on Thursday
that another woman had been let go. He stared at the phone waiting to be called.

The phone rang.

Instead of his HR director calling to lay him off – it was someone with a brand
new job. Out of the blue.

Insane – because the next week all remaining employees were taking a pay cut
and working less hours. Hours that match up with the new (grow into it) job.
