Republicans Deny Capitol for Downing Street Memo Hearings

Update: Hearings actually moved back to the Capitol. Yay!

This is nice:

Rep. John Conyers, Jr., Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, and other Congress Members will hold a hearing on the Downing Street Minutes and related evidence of efforts to cook the books on pre-war intelligence. The hearings are being held at the Democratic National Committee because the Republicans controlling the House Judiciary Committee refused to permit the ranking Democratic Member to use a room on the Hill. Republicans are welcome to attend.

And the major media outlets are still too busy in their valiant efforts to re-summarize the Jackson trial results ad nauseum, the fact that Terri Schiavo had a brain half its normal size, and to report the latest “non-leads” in the missing Aruba tourist girl episode as “breaking news”, to cover this as their lead story and/or in any level of depth.

    Brilliant.

I think somebody’s brain in the news business is half its size and lost in Aruba.

Well, they can keep them out of the room but they can’t keep the thousands of protesters off the streets…It’s going to be a great event and it will get media coverage because of the fact that the streets will be full and robust.
