A gala meeting at a Senate office building invited 100 “honorees” were invited to receive “International Crowns of Peace”, only to watch the Reverend Sun Yung Moon of the Unification Church claim the awards for himself.
Highlights include Illinois Danny K. Davis crowning the ex-con (and owner of the Washington Times and UPI) as messiah.
Moon was telling guests at the Dirksen Senate Office Building that Hitler and Stalin […] called him “none other than humanity’s Savior, Messiah, Returning Lord and True Parent.”

Yeah, it seems like a massive joke and misunderstanding but chew on this: Section 9, clause 8 of the U.S. Constitution:
Clause 8: No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.
Extra bonus: he calls homosexuals “dung-eating dogs”:
Moon preaches that gays are “dung-eating dogs,” Jews brought on the Holocaust by betraying Jesus, and the U.S. Constitution should be scrapped in favor of a system he calls “Godism” — with him in charge.
The politicians claim that they were told it was a banquet to celebrate world peace. Whoops.
