As I’ve said before, I’ve never really understood anti-semitism, I can’t pick a Jewish person out of a line-up. I do know that when we had to do East Coast accents and scenes from Neil Simon in acting class my Jewish acting teacher said I’d make such a perfect little mensch. I know that you’re supposed to look for a hooknose or beady money-grubbing eyes, but that could describe about half the people I see here in Chicago. The few Jewish people that I do know hardly look anything like they run an evil cabal. I just don’t understand antisemitism. If the Jews owned the media they certainly are doing a terrible job managing it. Now the WTO or the IMF – now those are cabals that really run everything. If you are going to discriminate a group, you have to be able to at least identify them right? It is like the redneck bigots that beat up Indian people for being terrorists or don’t get that Arabs and Persians are different groups.
the Associated Press reported (3/24/05) that Hitler’s autobiography is a bestseller in Turkey, and a Washington Post column (1/30/05) cited a poll showing two-thirds of Italians agree with the statement that “Jews secretly control financial and economic power as well as the media.”
Shortly before Christmas last year, syndicated radio star and MSNBC host Don Imus called the book publishers Simon & Schuster “thieving Jews” (Imus in the Morning, 12/15/04), returning to the subject later in the program to offer a mock apology, saying that the phrase he used was “redundant.”
Catholic League hellmouth Bill Donohue:
“Who really cares what Hollywood thinks? Hollywood is controlled by secular Jews who hate Christianity in general and Catholicism in particular. . . . That’s why they hate this movie. It’s about Jesus Christ, and it’s about truth. It’s about the messiah.” Donohue continued: “Hollywood likes anal sex. They like to see the public square without nativity scenes. I like families. I like children. They like abortions. I believe in traditional values and restraint.”
