Merry Vote-mas!

I’m pretty stunned that the Senate is as close as it is. I thought for sure the GOP would be able to scare everyone into thinking that men kissing was more important than national security or the war.

And with Rumsfeld quitting finally (or being allowed to quit) we can now turn to Robert Gates:

Independent Counsel found insufficient evidence to warrant charging Robert Gates with a crime for his role in the Iran/contra affair. Like those of many other Iran/contra figures, the statements of Gates often seemed scripted and less than candid. Nevertheless, given the complex nature of the activities and Gates’s apparent lack of direct participation, a jury could find the evidence left a reasonable doubt that Gates either obstructed official inquiries or that his two demonstrably incorrect statements were deliberate lies.

Party on Wayne.

Until I see Articles of Impeachment in the house, I will not be pleased.

Hey Andy, men kissing IS more important than national security and the war! No, I’m not that shallow.

While I agree with you that impeachment would be sweet, I don’t believe this is the route the Dems should travel. The population does deserve some answers from this vile administration, but an impeachment process would tie up the congress too long when there are other things more pressing. I also believe it would continue the divide this administration has so successfully constructed. The Dems so need to come to the population with new ideas and a freshness in governance that would only be sidetracked by impeachment. It’s time to move forward.
