How Did BART Kill Cellphone Service?: Scientific American

So after days of uproar it turns out the BART had turned off the wifi that runs in the tunnels *not* the above ground cell towers. BART owns the network underground and has an outside vendor supply connectivity. Their PR team should be fired for letting this get so completely out of hand and for not immediately correcting the reports.
