Just awakened Ron from a quick nap so we can go to the bookstore. I’ve tried playing Andrews Sisters as well as the trance music. So I tried screaming in his native tongue:
TAYO NA! (Let’s get going!)
LUMAKAD TAYO! (Let’s walk!)
GUSTO KO ANG LECHON! (I like the roast pig!)
He finally got up – promising to terrorize me similarly in the future.
At least I didn’t scream Ang aso ay mabait. We would have killed me.
