Had a good run this

Had a good run this morning… I’ve cranked up my intervals to 6-7-8-9 mph and then did the cross-training machine when I got done with the running. Didn’t do jack shit last night and it rocked. Karen came over and we did the laundry for the show – there we are at the Happy Wash across the street stuffing a washer with bloody clothes and towels. Now maybe my neighbors will respect me a little more. We’re back in performance tonight. The review comes out this afternoon. I figure any review is a good review and as long as they publish our picture that should help… feeling better than I was a day and a half ago. That is what can be so maddening sometimes – that I oscillate between okay-ness and malaise that I wonder which one is the right mood – the real mood – like it matters. I don’t need to establish official and sanctioned emotions, right?

No call from N****** which doesn’t hugely surprise me. I figure it was a one-time date. That’s fine and as Eric says: how much can you talk about clubbing and hair? But I’ve got other irons in the fire…

Christian Analysis of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: (via Plastic)

Nude bathing was noted though the nudity is visually implied (hidden by convenience items). Revelations 21:8: “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars -their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death of the unforgiven.” Many fight sequences, though of such flowing and athletic grandeur and indeed poetry, were possibly suggestive of fighting to solve differences Proverbs 3:31 “Do not envy a violent man or choose any of his ways.” Much of the choreography presented the characters flying, running up and down walls, leaping to the rafters, rooftop to rooftop, on the mist in a river canyon and the like. Children cannot fly as they would soon find out if in a moment of temporary disconnect with reality they decided to see if they could as the movie characters could — it happened with the early Superman TV series.
