(From Saturday)

SCORE. I just got a copy of Visio on eBay for a rock-bottom price. Visio is a flow-charting software package. I used it a ton back in my finance process re-engineering days where the highly-paid consultants would lock all the accountants in a room and map out every finance process and then they’d give me big poster size messy marker-written maps for me to convert into a nice clean Visio process map. Microsoft later bought Visio. I’ve also put bids out for the new version of MindManager.

Did some fun dorky, geeky work last night that kept me up until about 2 AM – plus I watched the South Park movie (preceded by 2 episodes). I think one of the funnies things in the world is:

Mr. Garrison: How would you like to go see the school counselor?
Cartman: How would you like to suck my balls?
Mr. Garrison: What did you just say?!
Cartman: Oh, I’m sorry. (reaches under desk, clears throat and pulls out a megaphone)’ Actually what I said was, “HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO SUCK MY BALLS? Mr. Garrison.”

I love that. I sometimes wish I had a megaphone so I could scream at people driving down Broadway.

GET OFF THE FUCKING CELLPHONE.

Got a late late start on the day yesterday since I got a late late start to the gym. I didn’t get a nap in either.

Had a horrendous nightmare about being paralyzed and something akin to human jerky. Odd. I think that is from reading the Silent Hill wikipedia entries. I want to see that movie for the sheer reason that all of the creatures were actors and creatures in makeup and costume instead of computer generated.

We’re reaching Defcon 1 with our dirty dishes situation and if I were Matthew Broderick I’d have to consult the WOPR. Also need to stock the fridgedairy (as Ron calls it).

Went to the new Argot cafe that opened a whole 4 doors down from Intelligentsia. Saw Kevin. Don’t be fooled: their bubble tea is not real bubble tea. They don’t blend it into a slushy and they don’t have green tea. It’s basically cream, tea, flavoring and ice cubes and the jujubes instead of the tapioca boba pearls. Disappointed. But they do have free wireless. And you see more people walking by which is fun. Gonna be hard to heat the place in the winter though since it is all windows and there’s no fireplace.

Watched multiple hours of the JonBenet coverage which basically consists of conjecture until the DNA samples are tested.
