Est. 5,500 U.S. Soldiers Desert Army

American Army soldiers are deserting and fleeing to Canada rather than fight in Iraq, rekindling memories of the thousands of draft-dodgers who flooded north to avoid service in Vietnam. An estimated 5,500 men and women have deserted since the invasion of Iraq, reflecting Washington’s growing problems with troop morale.

Note – it’s the morale that’s the problem. Again, seeing this as a PR problem – not that the whole war was an illegal military action.

The army is changing contracts once you are in.
Soldiers in my unit were screwed over. Suing them is useless. They want troops with rifles, not techs or others and are taking troops from rear-units and putting them in the front lines where they get shot at.
This is Y you must stay out of the army.
Benifits are being denied even with blatant diseases like DU and others. Some came back and died shortly after. I smell a plot

I went AWOL from my NG unit. I knew a plot was about.
I think its a plot to wreck America and its culture. By using troops as fodder, and making them look like murderers, its only a matter of media to get.
I hand out anti-war info at H Schools, keeping kids out of this shitty war. Being at Dugway Proving Grounds, Utah taught me alot about being used. We were exposed to all kinds of toxins. Nukes as well.
No way Bush is getting my ass back. To hell with him and those bastards in DC!!!
