Also rented Eraserhead – David Lynch’s first feature film. I had never seen – though read a lot about it. It like Beckett – I get and appreciate the idea and concept behind the whole post-apocalypse/wasteland/nihilist perspective but just found it boring. The puppetry was pretty amazing and I did giggle noticing the floors in the apartment building lobby were the same carpets in the White Lodge Dream Sequence in Twin Peaks. As well as the freaky woman singing onstage meme and the focused white light and German Expressionism inspired cinematography.

  1. I watched Eraserhead a long time ago and I still remember it as being a complete waste of time. And before anyone says I don’t appreciate the movie, I just say “Yeah, yeah, but I want to be entertained while I’m being bored to death.”
