Some old iron lung is insisting on lighting his cigarette before he goes outside of the cafe, causing a waft of carcinogens to come back into the cafe. How tacky.

As a young man starting college one of the many jobs that I had was working 11-7 at the local county hospital as an orderly.On the third floor we had wards of 6-8 patients that were on welfare and in very poor health.One evening I was summonds to the ward to help changing the bedding of a patient that had soilled himself. The female aid and my self changed the bedding with care.Out of the corner of my eye I could see the smoke starting to rise from the chest of a patient 2 beds away .I was shocked to find a person who had throart cancer placing the lighted cigerret to the opening where his throat once was……..why…………….
