Cardio

I did a half-hour on the elliptical trainer this morning followed by a half-hour on the bike. It felt good. Purifying. The last time I got results in the gym was when I was lifting heavy and doing a full hour of cardio 3 times a week (along with low sugar/low wheat). That’s also when my ankle went bum – which I think is because I did the same machine for an hour 3 times a week. I’m going to mix it up with rowing machine, bike, treadmill, elliptical and maybe some swimming if I don’t drown myself (never could time the breathing right).

    You gotta mix it up at the gym. It breaks up a routine that you might fall into, and you can cross-train better, preventing injury, like you said.

    But think twice about the swimming thing…guys in speedos, remember? Gimme tight and lean over ‘roided and bulky any day.

    It’s doubtful I’d get bulky. I’d rather be tight and lean and beefy. But not all nasty like the veiny godzillas in the muscle mags. Like that one guy with the quads as thick as a tree trunk. YECH. Almost as bad as guys with great upper bodies but stick legs.

    you live in a great community to explore the Tai Chi of the east.The person becomes steel wraped in cotton……………..grasp the bird’s tale and move to the light …….luke!! you legs become like tree trunks as you play tai chi for 45 min a session
