Cabbies Trade Company on Exchange

More than 1,000 London cabbies started buying and selling shares on their own mini stock market today.

Radio Taxis awarded each owner-driver 1,000 shares – as well as a £1,100 windfall – when it demutualised in June. Today saw the first in a series of quarterly auctions in which cabbies are allowed to trade the shares among themselves in an internal auction system that has been compared to eBay.
