A little rage when I clicked on a Yahoo! page and found a Lifesavers ad staring me down. They asked for feedback:

POP UP ADS FUCKING SUCK AND YOU GUYS KNOW IT. STOP IT! IT DEGRADES YOUR SERVICES. HOW MUCH MORE MONEY CAN YOU SQUEEZE OUT OF YOUR CUSTOMER DATABASE. WHY DON’T YOU ADVERTISE SOMETHING I CAN USE! YOU ALREADY KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT ME ANYWAY FROM MY CLUBS, MESSAGE BOARDS, PERSONALS… ETC. STOP LETTING YOUR MARKETING PUKES MAKE ALL THE DECISIONS. YAHOO PROVIDES SERVICES TO CONSUMERS. IT DOESN’T ‘DELIVER’ US INTO THE MAW OF MADISON AVENUE. WHEN YOU USE WEAK MECHANICS TO DELIVER ADS YOU MAKE YOUR CLIENTS LOOK JUST AS WEAK. I USE ALL CAPS BECAUSE I CARE.

And then they ask if I’d pay to have an ad-less Yahoo!:

PAY YOU? WHAT FOR? YOU GUYS SEEM TO BE GETTING ALONG FINE WITH OUT SUBSCRIPTION BASED STUFF – AD-LESS SITE? RIGHT. KEEP WORKING ON SELL SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES THAT HAVE VALUE. NOT DITCHING YOUR HAZING OF THE SURFER TO TURN A QUICK BUCK.
