  • Topographic CSS Bookmarklet

Also need to add this a bookmarklet that shows off a webpage’s structural CSS markup. Click and drop it on your links bar. Or just click it and you’ll see what I mean.

  • Clearing a DIV with a Line Break

I need to catalog this somewhere so I remember. When you have a big long containing DIV tag containing multiple other blocks of DIVs you should use a clear-all styled line break on the inside end of the containing DIV to ensure that it wraps around all it is supposed to (thanks to Glish):

  • Exception to the Rulers

I am not a third through Amy Goodman’s explosive The Exception to the Rulers and I tell you that you must read it. It is amazing. She is fearless in her quest to expose big government, big business, big oil where it happens – regardless of political party. From a third-degree inquisition on Bill Clinton […]

  • Buy Your Own Crackpipe

Matt posted on Craiglist a rant to the crack addicts that keep stealing his motorcycle’s sparkplugs to make a crack pipe: Now, I get that you love crack. That is totally understandable. I’ve heard it is really fun, at first, and quite addictive. What I don’t understand is, YOU ARE A CRACKHEAD. WHY DON’T YOU […]

  • Kill Bill, Vol. 1

I still think it’s notable that Quentin Tarantino commands as much mastery and millions given that this is his fourth film. Granted, he’s had a definite hand in other films such as Natural Born Killers but I just think it’s weird he’s considered such a big name when he hasn’t even started to really build […]

  • The Carlyle Group

Fascinating documentary on The Carlyle Group. If you don’t know who they are then it’s definitely worth a viewing. 48 minutes, streaming RealMedia. (Wikipedia entry)

  • 29

I’m 29 today. I was trying to think of something profound to write or say and even in my hand-written journal this morning not much came up. My mind drifts back all of the events I can remember and as far back as I can remember them and I try to come up with some […]

  • Happy Birthday, Blue Eyes

One of the most bad-ass women that ever lived turns 96 today. Yep, that’s right. My grandma. My mom’s mom. Agnes. I’ve written about her many times before and how she is a prime example of an undying faith and devotion and survival. This woman would pray and stuff would happen. I swear she had […]

  • Coffin Photos Released with FOIA

The Memory Hole filed a Freedom of Information Act request to obtain pictures of soldier’s coffins coming home from Iraq. The request was initially denied but after an appeal was approved and granted. Remember, this was not particular to just the Bush administration – it was created by the DoD some years before – and […]

  • 1 Minute at a Time

I love the movie Fight Club. I’m sure you think I’m a total tool given that the movie posits all of these anti-corporate statements and is gleefully nihilist but remained a media product of the Hollywood system. I still love it. I had it on my laptop while I was working on my desktop last […]
